1. Identify the pest before selecting the product.
The E’scential Home & Pest Care range includes products developed for different household pest concerns. The Anti-Ants and Anti-Cockroach Sprays are intended to help deter unwanted pests when used according to the product directions, while other products in the range have their own specific applications.
2. Use E’scential Insect Repellent for mosquito and flying-insect protection.
Liberco’s DEET-free insect repellent contains nootkatone, essential oils and phyto extracts and is positioned for mosquitoes, gnats and other flying insects. Liberco recommends reapplication at least every four hours for its plant-based formulation.
Singapore’s National Environment Agency explains that topical mosquito repellents work by interfering with mosquitoes’ ability to locate a human host. NEA advises users to follow the product label and reapply according to manufacturer instructions.
3. Apply pest-specific sprays to relevant pest activity and hiding areas.
Use the Anti-Ants and Anti-Cockroach Sprays according to the directions stated on the respective product labels, focusing on the areas specified for application. Good housekeeping, removal of food sources and sealing potential pest entry points can also help reduce pest activity.
4. Use E’scential Anti-Cockroach Spray according to the product directions.
Liberco’s E’scential Anti-Cockroach Spray is a 250 ml surface spray formulated with a pandan fragrance derived from Pandanus amaryllifolius. Liberco instructs users to target cracks, crevices and common hiding locations such as areas beneath sinks and behind refrigerators while keeping food, children and pets away during application.
5. For bed bugs, treat known hiding locations rather than bedding indiscriminately.
Liberco’s E’scential ShieldGuard Bed Bug Spray is intended for areas including mattress seams, bed frames, furniture joints and cracks. Bedding should be removed before spraying; treated areas should be ventilated and allowed to dry before people or pets return.
6. Combine sprays with physical pest-control measures.
Sprays should not replace sanitation, inspection, exclusion and monitoring. For bed bugs, the U.S. EPA recommends an integrated pest management (IPM) approach combining appropriate pesticide use with measures such as heat treatment, vacuuming, encasements, clutter reduction and monitoring.
